Odessa Review провел Круглый стол с участием режиссера фильма «В
поисках Бабеля» Дэвида Новака.
Мероприятие проходило в Золотом зале
Одесского литературного музея. В рамках круглого стола, ведущим которого
выступил главный редактор журнала «The Odessa Review» Vladislav Davidzon, режиссер картины David Novack поделился впечатлениями от съемок и от путешествия
в Россию и Украину. В круглом столе приняли участие научные сотрудники ОЛМ, занимающиеся творчеством Бабеля, – Анна Мисюк и Алена Яворская, коллекционер Анатолий Дроздовский, члены жюри литературной премии им. Исаака Бабеля — писатели Валерий Хаит, Андрей Дмитриев,
одесский художник, иллюстрировавший произведения Бабеля – Григорий Палатников (на фото он слева).
Вечер начался с показа фрагмента, не вошедшего в фильм, после чего собственно и началась мини-конференция о Бабеле, о времени и условиях, в которых ему довелось жить, о желании внука больше узнать о том, где и как жил его дед. А еще о том, что все повторяется.

эмоциями, он ведь тоже потомок одесского творческого
человека, композитора.

Round table meeting with David Novack, filmmaker of "In Search of Babel"
ОтветитьУдалитьJuly 14, English-language magazine The Odessa Review held a round table with the participation of David Novack, the director of film "In Search of Babel".
The event took place in the Golden Hall of Odessa Literature Museum. The round table was hosted by a leading editor in chief of «The Odessa Review» Vladislav Davidzon. The film director David Novack shared his impressions of the filming and his travel to Russia and Ukraine.
The round table was attended by researchers of the OLM, engaged in Babel’s creative heritage - Anna Misyuk and Alyona Yavorskaya, collector Anatoly Drozdovsky, jurors of Literature contest named after Isaac Babel - writers Valery Khait and Andrei Dmitriev, and artist Gregory Palatnikov who had illustrated the works of Babel (left one on the photo).
The evening began with the presentation of a fragment, not included in the film, after which a mini-conference on Babel actually began. Participants discussed the time and the environment he had to live in, and his grandson’s Andrei desire to learn more about where and how his grandfather lived. And that everything in life is repeating.
The host gives a word to the film director David Novack. We listen to him with attention, watching his emotions; he's also turns out to be a descendant of the man with an artistic soul, Odessa composer.
